Distinguish upcoming, due, and overdue

Give technicians a useful checklist

Provide instructions, measurements with units, acceptance ranges, and relevant documents. Capture result, note, part, time, reading, and evidence rather than a single “done” checkbox.

An additional defect found during inspection should create linked corrective work without altering the original preventive result. This preserves what was planned and what was discovered.

Connect parts and inventory

Associate expected parts with the plan and check availability when scheduling. Reserve scarce parts where policy requires it. Record actual consumption, returns, and traceability information when relevant.

Missing stock should become a blocked reason with an owner. A work order waiting in the workshop for a filter is a planning signal.

Coordinate downtime

An asset may be committed to production, a booking, or a customer route. Display future assignments and choose a window that reduces conflict. Notify affected people about confirmed downtime and changes, not every technical alert.

Close with evidence and schedule correctly
